[Salon] Schumer helps Biden slip $12B in NEW Ukraine aid into stopgap bill

Hi -- not surprisingly, Democrats aren't saying a word about the lack of debate and oversight over the billions being pumped into Ukraine right now. Republicans -- though a slim majority of them -- are kicking up a fuss over this new aid package, which has been conveniently folded into the continuing resolution (CR) now being deliberated by the Senate. Congress MUST pass this massive spending bill by Friday or the govt will shut down. That means the Ukraine aid -- which not only includes weapons and intel support, but $4.5B to keep Kyiv's govt running for one more quarter -- is pretty much guaranteed passage.

Please read my RS report on this today and share if you are so inclined!

ALSO - QI just commissioned a new poll that shows Americans are less sanguine about a long, proxy war and actually want aid tied to more aggressive diplomatic efforts to end the war.
